Phil competed in his first triathlon in 2013 and has been hooked ever since. Loves cycling, tolerates running, and has even learnt to love swimming! Successfully completed his first ironman distance in 2016 at the Outlaw after completing the half in 2015 and joined the NTC team doing Ironman Austria in 2018. Other than tri, Phil loves skiing, motor sport and generally anything a bit nuts (including his family). Interesting fact – Once drove on a wall of death in a go kart!

Club Captain – Andy Downes (Men’s)

Andy has been a member of NTC for over 3 years and has competed at all triathlon distance, right up to Ironman level.

Club Captain –  Debra Suffolk (Women’s)

A long term member of Nuneaton Harriers .

Chief “Bell-Ringer” for NTC when not competing.

Events Manager – Spencer Truscott

I first arrived at Nuneaton Triathlon Club a little chubbier and very much new to the sport. I enjoyed cycling, hated running and got my 25m swimming badge when I was a school boy. I came to the club to gain support from like minded people as I had started to enjoy all 3 sports. I thought what better way than to get a better understanding of the club than to come to a committee meeting, very much like The Eagles Hotel California – you can never leave! I am now very much enjoying being a part of a fantastic club with a very friendly group of people. My greatest achievement with the club so far has been going from non runner to marathon in a year.

 Membership – Fred Heath

Membership secretary since 2013 and likes a challenge. Being a member of Nuneaton Triathlon club gives him the training platform to not only compete in triathlon, but to also compete in other exciting challenges. Fred has a running background, particularly enjoys fell running and finds extreme triathlons and challenges to be of interest and always ‘encourages’ other Nuneaton Triathlon Club members to join him in his adventures.

Treasurer – Helen Talbot

Helen Talbot, NTC Treasurer, Triathlon mad for over 10 years! Competed in Age Group World Championships in Madeira 2004. Then took a short break to start a family before returning to do Iron Man Bolton in 2011 and Iron Man Wales in 2014. Had eventful end of season in 2015 with success in the All ways High, Slateman series. Helen recently came 3rd in her age group at Ironman Austria, qualifying for Kona!

Commercial Manager & Bids – Andy Russell

 Head Coach – Angie Fisher

Angie is one of the first members of NTC. Originally a swimmer and water polo player for GB , she has competed at all levels of triathlon up to Ironman in Austria where she was 4th in her age group.
